The Woes of Pregnancy

1) Our kids are doomed

My friends at work gave me this t-shirt. Needless to say, I LOVE IT!

2) Do I really look like a basketball?

People keep saying, "You look so cute, just like you have a little basketball under there!" Do I really? Is that good? Do I want to look like a basketball? And now I'm wondering, just how big of a basketball do you use?

(30 weeks)

3) What does 'fine' mean?

When I talk to most women, my pregnancy really hasn't been that bad. And I'm not one who likes to complain. But just so you all know the daily complaints that my dear husband gets to listen too.

back aches
inability to get up (after sitting)
NO bladder control... no really, NONE
painful hips
walking funny (and by funny, I mean waddling... UGH!)
inability to lean forward, while sitting, standing, anything
inability to get up
intense emotion
intense need to eat, or lack thereof
tired belly muscles
stressings over the whole labor thing
dry skin / ezcema (then add in the windy weather... oh the joy!)
over heating / freezing (mostly just over heating lately... hahaha)
memory loss and its antithesis (imagining conversations)
tenderness and soreness in lots of special places on my body
feeling like a whale, cuz I can't manuver my body

All in all, pregnancy is great! Our baby's room is coming along, and we are getting more and more excited. Matt is still working on the chair rails and crowning, but its gonna be a gorgeous room! I'm so grateful that Matt wanted to decorate the room. He really deserves all the credit! (he picked everything out!)

As for names, we have the first name narrowed down to 2 names, but still aren't sharing. The middle name is still up in the air. So you'll just have to wait until we meet our little guy and figure it all out!

The shirt is super cute and I really like the bedding. I think it's very fun. You'll have to post pictures when the room is done.

Oh the joys of pregnancy. Just remember that all the negatives will be sooo worth it once little junior comes. And from what I can see on the pictures you look great!
I completely understand when it comes to names. I could never decide until my babies were in my arms and sometimes it is just plain easier to not have to share/hear comments about the names you are deciding between. Good luck with the decision.

Oh, basketball comments are good. It's another way of saying, "Wow. You're still pretty small with a bump, as opposed to being huge and just looking extra fat."

Something that might help the back/hip pain is get a massage! I've worked on a ton of preganant women and the wish they would have done it sooner then their last month. Just a thought. Good luck with choosing a name. When the little guy comes out you'll know which name will fit him. Matt, the room looks great! I'm surprised it isn't completely green! ;)

You pregnancy sounds "fine" to me. You look super cute so I guess that means basketballs are good. And I LOVE the baby's room. How fun is that bedding! Great job!

I know EXACTLY how you feel. It is hard not to complain every once and a while, poor Randy has to listen to me all the time too. I am sure he knows how Matt is feeling. I think your bump is great. I get the "are you having twins" all the time because of how big my bump is. Not too much longer and we will get to see our little ones and get to enjoy having our bodies mostly back to belonging to us. :)

I love it all! Very very cute!
The amazing part to me is that after the pregnancy and you have the new little guy in your arms is how easily all the pains are forgotten. And how easily you forget all the not so wonderful joys of being pregnant and want to have another baby and experience it all over again b/c it so so worth it!
